Dan Grzybek is a lifelong resident of Allegheny County, having grown up in Hampton Township before attending the University of Pittsburgh where he majored in Chemical Engineering. Shortly after graduating from Pitt, Dan and his wife Cassie moved to Bethel Park where they live with their two rescue dogs.
In addition to his Bachelor's Degree, Dan has his Master's Degree in Engineering from Purdue University. He currently works as an Engineer on Nuclear Reactor Safety Systems for the Nimitz class of US Navy Aircraft Carriers.

Elected in 2020 to the Bethel Park School Board, earning the most votes of seven candidates. Serves as Finance Committee Chair and School Start Times Sub-Committee Chair.

Active volunteer firefighter in both Bethel Park and at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, demonstrating a hands-on commitment to public safety in his community.
Spent several years as a Youth Mentor at the South Hills Interfaith Movement, investing in the next generation of leaders in Allegheny County.
Regular volunteer at the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, judge for PA Junior Academy of Science competitions, and Emergency Substitute Teacher during COVID-19.
Partnered with the Navy through Seaperch to teach high school students to build underwater remotely operated vehicles โ with a group qualifying for the national competition.
Dan wants to bring his professional experience and love for his community to better serve the residents of Bethel Park, Upper St. Clair, Mt. Lebanon, and Dormont as a member of Allegheny County Council.

Shortly after moving to Bethel Park, Dan became deeply involved in local politics โ galvanized by the 2016 Presidential election โ and has never stopped fighting for his neighbors since.
