Here is my summary of the Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 regular meeting of Allegheny County Council. My votes are in parentheses, as is the prime sponsor of each item. 15 members present.
We started the meeting off with appointments to the Allegheny County Housing Authority; Accountability, Conduct, and Ethics Commission; and our various Friends of the Park groups.
13383-25 (Executive – Yes) This ordinance would authorize the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh to continue to use property in Deer Lakes Park. Passed 15-0.
13384-25 (Executive – Yes) This ordinance would authorize Family Links to continue to use property in Boyce Park to provide human services related programs. Passed 15-0.
13385-25 (Executive – Yes) This ordinance would authorize the North Hills Council of Governments to continue to use property in North Park as a leaf compost for nearby communities. Passed 15-0.
13411-25 (Executive – Public Works) This ordinance would donate a small plot of land to the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority (ALCOSAN) for the purpose of its Clean Water Plan Project. Sent to Committee on Public Works.
