13628-25 (Chief Executive – Health & Human Services) This ordinance would revise Article VI of the Allegheny County Health Department Rules and Regulation concerning Houses and Community Environment for the purpose of nuisance property abatement. Sent to Health & Human Services.
Since this was such a short meeting, I’ll also include the Tuesday, August 26th, 2025 regular meeting of Allegheny County Council. My votes are in parentheses, as is the prime sponsor of each item. 14 members present (Klein absent).
13634-25 (Chief Executive – Parks) This ordinance would authorize South Park Boxing, Inc. to continue to use property on Hundred Acres Drive in South Park. Sent to Committee on Parks.
13635-25 (Chief Executive – Economic Development & Job Creation) This resolution would approve a bond not to exceed $55,000,000 by West Penn Allegheny Health System through the Allegheny County Hospital Development Authority for the purchase of 4 medical helicopters. Sent to Committee on Economic Development & Job Creation.
13636-25 (Catena – Yes) This motion urges the County’s representatives in the United States Senate and House of Representatives to support and vote for legislation to assist disabled miners, including legislation to increase monthly black lung benefit rates. Motion passed 14-0.
