Here is my summary of the Tuesday, August 20th 2024 regular meeting of Allegheny County Council. My votes are in parentheses, as is the prime sponsor. All 15 members were present.
13151-24 (Futules – Health & Human Services) This ordinance would provide fire safety information by the ACHD to restaurant owners in the course of regular restaurant inspections.
13152-24 (DeMarco – Government Reform) This ordinance would require the Allegheny County Elections Division to submit the County’s full voter roll to the United States Department of Homeland Security for an initial review of citizenship status for all individuals appearing on the County’s district registers and would require another review of all voter registrations after the date of the ordinance.
13153-24 (Chief Executive – Committee on Economic Development & Job Creation) This ordinance would approve sale of the County’s interest in a parcel on Hollywood Drive in Hampton Township.
13154-24 (Chief Executive – Public Works) Ordinance would authorize the County to acquire a right-of-way at the intersection of Roberts Hollow Road and Warren Hill Road in Forward Township.
13155-24 (Chief Executive – Public Works) Ordinance would authorize acquiring of a right-of-way for Greensburg Pike Lateral Support Project in Turtle Creek.
13156-24 (Chief Executive – Public Works) Ordinance would authorize acquiring of rights-of-way and easements for replacement of Beam Run Bridge No. 1, located on Coal Valley Road in Jefferson Hills.
13157-24 (Chief Executive – Health & Human Services) Ordinance would amend Article VI of ACHD rules and regulations to create a housing advisory committee.
13159-24 (Palmosina – Yes) This motion was to hold public budget hearings on Thursday, October 17, at 5 pm, Monday, October 28 at 5 pm, and Wednesday, October 30 at 5 pm in the Gold Room of the Allegheny County Courthouse. Passed 15-0.
13160-24 (Prizio – Yes) This motion was to authorize a public hearing regarding the County’s Climate Action Plan on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 4:30 pm in the Gold Room of the Allegheny County Courthouse. Passed 15-0.
